Art Introductions

Postby Ariannwyn » Fri May 13, 2016 9:59 am

Greetings fellow artists! 8-)

I am curious about the various artists we have in here, so why don't you take a minute to introduce yourself. Say who you are, if you work for yourself, an artist for a company, or are a student. What area of art are you interested in? (digital drawing, traditional, 3D modeling, animation, etc) Feel free to post your work as well.

I will start :) My name is Emily Eason, I currently work as a 3D artist at Soma Games. Right now we are making a Redwall game. I am mainly interested in 3D modeling though I would eventually like to learn more 2D drawing skills. I use Blender3D, and I am starting to learn Substance Painter. You can find some of my work here https://sketchfab.com/ariannwyn as well as most of the 3D work on the Redwall Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/RedwallGame/
My current art goal is to add more personal work to my portfolio that I am pleased with. Most of what I work on is unreleased and can't go in there yet, so I would like to have more models that show what I actually can do. (The one in there is at least a year old!)

I am looking forward to seeing what you guys are working on

Hey there! I am SquishieDragon aka Joy. I am currently trying to start an art business from home and I stream on Twitch most days of the week. I do mostly traditional artwork though I am saving for an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I use pencil, colored pencil, copic markers and some times paints (watercolor and acrylics). My work of late has been what I like to call "Super-hyper-photorealistic-expialicocious" XD In other words, very real looking XD Feel free to check out my work on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artist/squishiedragon or drop by Twitch and watch me stream my art live! I stream 3pm central time Mon and Tues and 6pm Wed and Thurs. I look forward to getting to know you all!

P.s. Ariannwyn is my older sister ;)

Hey all, I'm Raul, though I go by the handles of Nu-type or Exevalon. I have a page on Deviant Art; exevalon.deviantart.com and a page on Artstation; artstation.com/artist/nu-type. I'm also on Facebook; facebook.com/nu-type.black.

I'm a Concept Artist, Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Game Designer from Puerto Rico, though I'm currently living in Richmond, Indiana as I study at Bethany Theological Seminary. I'm highly interested in telling stories of all kinds, creating worlds and inhabiting them with creatures and people. I'm into the mysterious, the unusual and want to express the word of God in creative ways. I love how the medium of Video Games is an excellent tool for interacting with creativity, stories and characters.

Hi, guys. I've worked on a few games. See http://www.strife.com and http://www.tueborgame.com

You can see a small sampling of my art at http://www.be.net/chadlaforce and http://goodmonsterguy.deviantart.com

I teach illustration and design at Cornerstone University. I'm finishing up a Kickstarter project, right now, also doing a little official art for Star Wars Rogue One, and I'm hoping to figure out how to get my own small game studio, called Good Monster, off the ground.

I am not sure if this forum is still active or if it was active at all, but here goes. Let me know if you all are alive.

My name is Jeff Clendenning. Below are my accolades, portfolio images, and future goals.

Company history: Blizzard, EA, Activision, Obsidian, Konami, Technicolor. Santa Monica College, Norco College, Laguna College of Art and Design
Positions held: art director, lead concept artist, creative director, technical artist, game dev and art foundations instructor
Games: StarCraft Ghost, StarCraft II, 007 Golden eye: Rogue Agent, Alpha Protocol, Fallout Online, many unannounced or canceled titles

God has really blessed my career and I would like to use this more in a capacity that glorifies Christ. Oh, me and a few other Christian dudes are currently developing an original IP which is slated for Winter 2018. I also stream on Twitch... well, I had to take a few months off but I will be heading back to twitch to hang with my peeps after the hiatus.

Let me know if you'd like to hear a talk about stuffs.

Welcome!!!
So glad you are here - your work is great!

As far as activity, the art section of this forum never really got going, but there are a lot of active artists part of the CGDC Art Facebook group if you'd like to join it! (Here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/972616382817316/) There are some really great people over there

I am a huge fan of the games you have worked on, and I would love to hear more about working in that kind of setting (I've only worked in a Christian studio).

Feel free to message me here or on FB, I'd love to chat more :D
